The attitude and conscientiousness to doing a job well was predominant in all of your employees, especially Lui, your superintendent. His attention to details and doing the job right was second to none, and we both appreciated him and all your people who worked in our home.
Great job Rocky, for making the disruption to our lives during the course of our home improvement project minimal. Cleaning up the work areas at the end of each day and scheduling the subcontractors efficiently was really appreciated. Also, your method of keeping the lines of communication open was very effective in minimizing our concerns and questions.

I was not asked to write a letter of recommendation for Greenwood Contracting but gladly offered to do so!
During my initial meeting the comment was jokingly made that my old kitchen, which is circa 1948, was one of the smallest seen and they had had as a project. Only minor updates had been done since the house was built in the form of a counter top and sink and otherwise was all original to the house. The cabinets were EXTREMELY inefficient both the upper and lower and the drawers were barely functioning. I was truthful somewhat skeptical that I could gain too much space without bumping out a wall and adding square footage, however, this is not what I could afford to do at this point in time nor did I feel it was the best investment to make for this property.
I was quite wrong in my skepticism, for the end result is absolutely fantastic and beautiful! I have gained usable cabinet space with better designed cabinets, I have gained counter space with changes in microwave placement and more cabinetry and I was even able to add a dishwasher. The additional lighting both in the cabinets and beneath them give the illusion of even more space. I am extremely impressed by the quality of craftsmanship by all. The cabinets are beautifully finished and installed precisely as is the flooring and all other components of the kitchen. I don't believe all could have been done without Mr. Dunne!!
In all seriousness, his attention to detail, his personal skill and craftsmanship and commitment to the project made everything fall into place. He kept me informed as to job status and any problems, gave me honest feedback on choices and gave me positive suggestions. He was most dependable and arrived when he indicated he would.
It was not an easy period of time, no construction time is, but the end result is well worth any inconvenience and stress encountered. I would highly recommend Mr. Dunne and Greenwood for any project you have which you want done well.

When I was trying to sell my condo, I found it had a structural problem. It was an older home, and a rim joist had rotted. I called over a dozen contractors. The big ones were too busy; the small ones had no idea how to repair it. All were in agreement over one thing: I had a mess on my hands that would be very expensive to fix. In desperation, I found Greenwood Contracting on Google. Rocky looked at the job and gave me an estimate that was substantial, but reasonable. He told me it would be a 4 day job.
At the end of the first day, he called me and said they would be done at noon the next day. He charged me - wait for it! - a mere 30% of the original bid. Yes, you read that right. He charged me LESS than his bid! (No, I have never had that happen before!)
A buyer appeared. The condo flew through inspection and is now sold.
Since that time, I have had Greenwood Contracting do a number of repairs on my new house. They have all been done beautifully. The projects are always completed on time. And the guys have all been great to have around.

Last year, we acquired a 2200 square foot home in need of major repairs. The thought of the needed improvements were daunting, to say the least, as we knew the home would have to be gutted and everything replaced. We shopped the internet for a contractor and interviewed one to get some idea of price. The price we received was high and covered only the kitchen and two bathrooms. We continued to shop around. Greenwood Contracting appealed to us, as they were advertised as a design-build company for whole house renovations. We called the company and the president, Rocky Dunn, came to the house to talk to us about our plans. We found him to be genuinely interested in our project, understanding of our budget, extremely knowledgeable as to what the home needed and detailed about what we could expect from him. We requested references and he provided them without hesitation. Those references reported his work and work ethic as impeccable. We were sold!
We signed a contract with Rocky on September 24, 2010. The schedule he provided indicated that demolition would begin on October 4th and the project completed the week of Thanksgiving. We could not believe our home would be completely renovated in such a short time. We also contracted with him to have our home painted on the outside, some concrete poured to improve our patio and the patio roof replaced. It was overwhelming, at times, knowing all that we had to do before Rocky could begin, but with his patience, guidance and systematic method of handling the project, we were able to overcome any stress and concentrated only on the outcome.
Despite some set-backs, Rocky managed to stick to the budget and the schedule deadline. He contacted us immediately as issues or concerns were presented. He was always open and considerate of questions and concerns that we had and promptly responded to them. There were NEVER any surprises.
Rocky shared our enthusiasm as large projects were completed; e.g., kitchen and bathrooms. The home was being totally transformed. Our “dream home” was appearing before our very eyes and we were so excited.
The fact that we trusted Rocky to do his very best for us was so reassuring throughout the entire process. He told us in the beginning that he would hope to exceed our expectations and he far exceeded them. Not only do we have our dream home but also a new friend. We whole- heartedly recommend Greenwood Contracting for any and all of your home improvements. You will not be disappointed!
